    • The Echlin's had been settled at Pittadro for a long time. If you google "Echlin's of Pittadro" you will find some information. Also this site: http://www.stravaiging.com/history/castle/fordell-castle If you scroll down to an overhead photo of the castle ;yellow dot; and then go to the left, you will see a walled garden, this is the site of the walled garden of Pittadro. The house no longer exists.
      Margaret Henderson was suspected of being a witch in 1649, she escaped to Edinburgh, was captured and died mysteriously in Edinburgh Tolbooth (jail). If you want/need more information on this poor unfortunate woman, please contact me on : sylviamcclintock@hotmail.com
