Death* before 10 February 1643/44 Thomas died before 10 February 1643/44 at Northampton Co, VA. It was on this date that Thomas Smyth's estate was administered to Sarah Smyth widow of the deceased (N'hamp Co Orders, Deeds, Wills, etc, 1640-45, pp. 178, 203). The widow Sarah married John Hinman, and Sarah had a daughter Anne Smyth. In 1648 the court ordered John Hinman to present an accounting of the estate of the orphans of the deceased and for Anne the wife of John Tilney (N'hamp Co Deeds, Wills, etc., 1645-51, pp. 41, 62, ff. 136, 142). Later Sara Hinman refers to her daughter Tilney (N'hamp Co Deeds, Wills, etc., 1654-55, p. 12). William and Argall Smyth are children of the deceased (N'hamp Co Deeds, Wills, etc., 1651-54, f. 119)..1
