    • born circa 1812. Buried in the Turner family plot in the Church of England Cemetery, Yass. Thomas Turner sailed from Liverpool on 26 NOV 1833 on the ?Badastre? and arrived in Sydney on 26 JUN 1833 and most likely joined his brother in the Customs Service. John Entwistle Turner purchased ?Yeumburra? Station on the Murrumbidgee River near Murrumbateman in 1837 from the original owner Charles Atkinson. John together with his pregnant wife Jane, their 2 infant sons and his brother Thomas Turner moved to ?Yeumberra? and commenced sheep farming. Yass Courier: Turner Thomas died at his residence in North Yass on Friday last. He was a resident of Yeumburrah then moved to the Grange near Burrowa. He lived 3 score and ten years. Yass Courier 9.10.1883. Turner Thomas died at his residence "Lightwood" North Yass on 5.10.1883 aged 71 years. Yass Courier 16.10.1883.
